Yoga Therapy Experience
I have had the privilege to work with 155 private clients guiding them through 1,840+ hours of gentle asana, pranayama, mudra, chanting, yoga nidra, and restorative yoga. I have devised yoga self-care strategies to help them manage a variety of ailments including allergies, amputation, anxiety disorder, arthritis, asthma, bipolar disorder, brain trauma, cerebral palsy, cancer, celiac, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, chronic constipation, depression, diabetes, electro-magnetic sensitivity, fibromyalgia, frozen shoulder, gastritis, heart disease, hip replacement, hypertension, hyperthyroid, incontinence, insomnia, joint replacement, leukemia, Lyme disease, lupus, menopause, mercury poisoning, migraine, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, obesity, orthostatic hypertension, osteogenesis imperfecta, osteoporosis, post-polio syndrome, PTSD, scleroderma, sciatica, scoliosis, sleep apnea, spinal cord injury, TMJ disorders, and toxicity. I have found that anyone can benefit from a compassionate and grounded approach to the healing practice of yoga. My main goal with my private clients is to give them the tools and understanding necessary to carry what they learned during our sessions into a dedicated home practice.
Yoga Therapy Research
In 2011, I began research on the effects of yoga and the well-being of cancer survivors (60 hours).

Assistantships
Since 2006 I have assisted Piedmont Yoga Community's Yoga for People with Disabilities program both at Piedmont Yoga Studio and the Cerebral Palsy Center. In these classes we see people with a variety of physical challenges and the therapeutic aspects of yoga play an important role in how both the students are assisted in their practice (854 hours).
