CHAIR YOGA for HANDS & WRISTS:

Periodically moving the hands and wrists will help relieve pain and stiffness caused by using a mouse.


WRIST FIGURE-EIGHTS
  • Clasp hands with palms together and fingers
    interlaced
  • Extend the arms in front of the torso, knuckles
    pointing towards knees
  • Make figure-eight motions with the hands
  • Repeat both directions 10 times each

WRIST FLEXION & EXTENSION

  • Extension: Hold left arm in front of torso with palm
    facing away from the body
  • Use right hand to gently pull back on palm,
    stretching underside of wrist
  • Hold 3 breaths each side
  • Flexion: Hold left arm in front of torso with palm
    facing towards the body
  • Use right hand to gently pull back on palm,
    stretching underside of wrist

CARPAL TUNNEL STRETCH

  • Place right hand on left shoulder
  • Place left arm behind back
  • Exhale, drop chin to right shoulder
  • Inhale, raise chin up diagonally and to the left
  • Repeat 10 times, both sides
up   down
